ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Avery Wise. I am a 3D animator and Motion Designer from Charlotte, North Carolina. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about storytelling, as evidenced by the many home videos of me babbling matter-of-factly to my parents, no doubt enthralling them with some harrowing tale. This impulse has shaped my life, driving me to pursue a career in animation.

 

I have been animating for nearly seven years, four of which I spent studying animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and I have greatly enjoyed it! I love how animation engages my interests in psychology and acting, and the unique challenge it presents of conveying thoughts, ideas, and emotions through body language and expression. Regardless of what I'm working on, whether it be the more technically sound and grounded performances, wacky, cartoonish animations, or more abstract, evocative Motion Graphics, I have a great passion for all things in motion!

On this site, you can find my demo reels, as well as breakdowns detailing how I made my various 3D animation, 3D tech, and motion graphics projects. It is my goal to work as an animator professionally, preferably doing 3D animation for feature films at a major studio. When I'm not working towards that goal, I enjoy hiking, traveling to national parks with my family, writing, listening to music, and catching up with friends! ​
